Training Overview
Ground Training Portion: The Ground Training segment includes classroom instruction, presentations, and computer-based (flying simulator) training. Flight Training Portion: After ground instruction, students undergo Flight Training at either Gillespie Field, or Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport in San Diego CA. The practical phase, consists of a minimum of 40 hours of flying (most students do around 75 hours), and equips students with critical flying skills. It includes general flight training (covering maneuvers like climbs, descends, and turning), basic instrument flying, night flying (with five hours dedicated to enable night-time flying under PPL privileges), and cross country flying to develop navigation skills.
